Diffused light suspended lamp. External diffuser in Polycarbonate. Internal diffuser in infusion printed opal polycarbonate. Purchasing data Diffuser might have little blemishes because of the unique assembling method of the plastic material. 'Tatou started life as a luminaire that crosses a customary vault style with a surface that is deciphered through an inventive language to screen and let the light channel through from inside. The primary models were suspension models, however they promptly reared into a family. Development in different sizes and circumstances in the homegrown climate came naturally. The cycle started by searching for various approaches to recreate films, considered like Japanese shield: a progression of metal clasps cunningly joined by tapes with an incredible enthusiastic value. There was then an interaction of improvement into covering, punctured, vertical groups bolted together. We made an interpretation of the design into a large scale manufacturing measure by changing to infusion moulding. The covering of these groups has been solidified in three-dimensional cowhide, a variable segment shape and by the mathematical pattern. With Flos, the test was to get a mass delivered item, while holding solid craftsman connotations. Tatou is French for armadillo: the vertebrate well known for its construction comprised of plates of bone covered with a defensive layer of horn. 'Tatou' has a passionate sound to it, which I believe is steady with the passionate capacity of this object. Patricia Urquiola
