A rufflette is a thick portion of tape which is sewn to the highest point of drapes so they can be assembled, to which window ornament snares can be attached. With this suspended light by Marie Christine Dorner, a tall rufflette is folded over the external edges of the largest piece of the shade and it is this which, by creasing the cotton chintz, empowers customary creases to be framed on its two slopes. An exemplary method for a contemporary and extremely enchanting design.
